Lenovo Legion Pro - 5G Gaming Smart Phone

🎭 Design and aesthetic

Straight at the unboxing, the Legion Pro greets you with a mechanical sound effect, along with the first glance of the phone. "Stylish Outside, Savage Inside", are the engravings found on either end of the back of the phone sporting a glossy, bright RGB design that attracts the eyes like a moth to a flame.

The RGB (Red-Green-Blue) lighting is constrained to the legion logo, where the default color is red, however it is fully customizable in the phone's settings which also store  pre-defined designs.

The phone also comes with a hard shell translucent plastic case that envelopes the phone body, but it's nothing too fancy and not particularly noteworthy.

👩‍💻 Functionality

As this is a gaming phone, one would expect buttons on either end of one side of the phone when flipped horizontally, however lenovo suprised us here by putting touch sensitive trippers instead of buttons.

🔊 Audio

It comes with two front facing speakers (thank god!). If like me, audio quality is a big deal when gaming, especially in games that use ambient sound for location seeking, audio's a big deal. However in this aspect most gamers use headphones. If in the event there are no headphones however, the quality of the Legion Pro boosts loud, clear audio quality, that you probably wouldn't mind using.

📱 Display

With an AMOLED, 144hz HDR10+ display, the Legion Pro is no slouch when it comes to visual performance and feedback. It should be noted however, that in games that cap the refresh rate such as mobile COD (Call Of Duty), that sweet supple 144hz display won't be put to much good use. So if the display refresh rate is your number one decision making factor in purchasing this phone for games that you already play, be sure that you know the cap frame rate your games offer.

If in the case the games you know you'll be playing on this phone cap at less than 144hz (e.g. 60, 90, 120), it might be worth looking around for another cheaper alternative that meets your needs.

🔋 Battery

With not one, but TWO...yes two chargers, the Legion Pro boosts speedy charging speeds that rival the top phones known for their charging speed. The 5000 mAh battery, along with its two chargers reaches 55% in 15 minutes, 70% in 20 minutes, and 100% in only 35 minutes. Phew...I need a drink of water, feels like I did a whole home workout after that one 😰

📡 Live Stream

hones Quite a unique feature, the Legion Pro allows gamers to live stream their gameplay directly from the phone's selfie camera. This is great for on-the-go individuals who stream, but now would have the option to play as they go.
